Learn about Introduction to Conjunction. A Conjunction is a word that connects words, phrases or clauses within a sentence. It helps to establish relationships between the connected elements. Example for Conjunction :  For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So. A Coordinating Conjunction connects words, phrases or clauses of equal importance within a sentence. Example for Coordinating Conjunction :  and, but, or, For, yet, so. A Subordinating Conjunction connect a dependent clause to an independent clause within a sentence. Example for Subordinating Conjunction :  because, although, if, after, unless. A Correlative Conjunction works in pairs to connect elements of equal importance. Example for Correlative Conjunction :  either....or, Neither…Nor, Whether…or, Such…that.
